Tag Tuesday - No Paper!!

Last weeks TAG challenge over at KardKrazy.blogspot.com was no paper.
Louise wanted us to create a tag without using ANY paper ANYWHERE! That means you have to create your tag out of something other than paper.

I used corrugated cardboard as the tag. I painted it with Tim Holtz crackle paint (peeled paint). I used copper dabber paint on the edges.

I stamped a butterfly on acetate, embossed it and then alcohol inked it. I cut it out and pop dotted it onto the tag. Stamped a sentiment and added stickles.

Unfortunately, the pictures do not do it justice. It really came out cute.

I want to thank everyone who has been soooooo sweet to me during this very difficult time in my life. Your cards, your e-mail, your thoughts and prayers have all been truly appreciated.

Love and Happiness to everyone.

My wonderful Daddy...

I am sooooo saddened to say...my dad died yesterday. He died at home surrounded by his family that LOVED him so, so much. He seemed to go peacefully.

I want to thank everyone who has been praying and sending me well wishes. I so appreciate all of you.

The next few days, I think will be the hardest, but I have to stay strong for my mother.

I am hoping that soon, I will be able to get back to my scrapping. That is truly my therapy.

Again, thank you everyone for all of the support, that you all have shown throughout this extremely hard time.

Love to all of you.

Been missing in action...

Hello everyone, so sorry that I have been MIA.

My dad has been battling cancer for some time now, but unfortunately the cancer has now taken the lead. Dad has been a real fighter throughout this whole terrible experience. Today my dad finally gave in to having HOSPICE come in.

I want to thank everyone for all your kind words and prayers. They have really meant alot to me.

I am sooooo grateful that I found scrapping (and my favorite mini albums) just a few months ago. It has been my therapy.

It is September 3rd and I am putting my final touches on my GGS August Swap. I have e-mailed Stephanie B. to let her know that (due to the holiday) I will be putting it in the mail to her on Tuesday.

I don't know what the next month is going to bring.......so, I have let Marion at GGS, Bona and Arlene at DSC and Kathryn at Life on the Scrapbeach that I will not be swapping for the month of September. I hope to be back in full swing in October.

I will post pictures of my mini for Stephanie as soon as I mail it. Thanks again everyone. I love all of you. ~Brenda

Take a 4 minute breather for yourself...

Hello my friends...

For those of you who do not know, my best friends, my mother and my father are BOTH going through some serious health issues. It is both emotionally and physically exhausting. I try to stay very positive. I do affirmations everyday and I keep a gratitude journal. Both have helped a great deal. This morning on Youtube there was a quick 4 minute relaxing up beat video. I strongly suggest everyone take a 4 minute breather and watch this video. ~Brenda
